RIU – Baja, Santa Fe & Palace

SANTA FE – One of my favourite ‘go-tos’ for the more lively weddings and groups. But it is also a great resort for a family holiday! Don’t let the ‘party place’ scare you – there are some great quiet places as well, including one of the nicest ‘quiet pools’ around! And they now have a fantastic kid’s club (one thing it was missing), and a splash park/water slide area, as well as one more private party pool. Best of both worlds – a great all-inclusive resort with tons to do and very very good food, and close enough to walk to town or Medano Beach for more dining, bars and nightlife. They have also built a couple more buildings, and I got to see the upgraded rooms in 2019. They recently (2022) closed completely for renovations – guess I’m gonna have to go back!

PALACE – I love going back to a resort I’ve been to many times to see all the upgrades! And they were very well done!! If you want a little ‘quieter’ stay than the Santa Fe, but still be able to access all their restaurants and bars if you want, this is the place for you. Upgraded lobby, restaurants, theatre, spa, refreshed rooms, swim-up suites – it’s better than before. And you can access the brand new kids club, splash park and party pool at the Santa Fe – they are all fantastic (photos in the Santa Fe album)

BAJA – This is the newest addition to the RIU family in Cabo. This adults only resort just opened in December, 2018 – and it is quite lovely! The rooms aren’t like a ‘normal’ RIU room – they are quite modern. I for one am looking forward to when I go and spend some time here!
